About the Role:
We're seeking a talented Architectural Designer with experience in residential design to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating innovative, functional ADU designs that comply with Chicago's building codes and ADU regulations while maximizing space and livability.
Responsibilities:
- Create custom ADU designs for various property types in Chicago
- Develop detailed construction documents and specifications
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and city officials
- Conduct site visits and property assessments
- Stay current on Chicago building codes and ADU regulations
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Present design concepts and revisions to clients
- Contribute to the development of standardized ADU design solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- 3+ years of residential design experience, ADU experience a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Knowledge of Chicago building codes and zoning regulations
- Strong understanding of space planning and efficient design
- Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Licensed architect or actively pursuing licensure preferred
Software Engineer

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer to help develop and maintain our technology platforms. You'll work on both customer-facing web applications and internal tools that streamline our ADU design, permitting, and construction processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Create and improve features for our ADU design and quote generation tools
- Build internal systems to optimize our design and construction processes
- Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine product features
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of web development experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one modern framework (React preferred)
- Experience with backend technologies and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of database design and optimization
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with mapping or 3D visualization tools is a plus
Customer Success Specialist

About the Role:
As a Customer Success Specialist, you'll be the primary point of contact for our clients throughout their ADU journey. You'll guide homeowners through the process of planning, designing, permitting, and building their ADU, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and our internal teams
- Guide clients through the entire ADU development process
- Conduct initial consultations to understand client needs and goals
- Educate clients about Chicago ADU regulations and options
- Coordinate with design, permitting, and construction teams
- Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations
- Resolve issues and concerns that arise during projects
- Collect and incorporate client feedback to improve our services
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of customer success, account management, or client service experience
- Knowledge of real estate, construction, or architecture a plus
